Fixing her beautiful heart...

One of my dearest friends in the world and one of the most amazing people I know, underwent major heart surgery this week.

She’s an inspiration. A few hours after getting out of surgery she was back to her usual positive self, even managing to take a selfie or two!! She brings me 'my happy' every day.
Dee, you’re a shining star in our little Boston family. It’s hard to put into words how much you mean to us all but I tried. This is what I came up with…

A beauty.
Inside and out.

A beautiful heart.

It needs to be fixed.
More room needed in there for her endless love.

A beautiful mind.

Sharp as a tack.
Her spirit, brighter and bolder than her embracing smile.
It lights up a room.
As she lights up our lives.

Her namesake.
The most beautiful woman to ever have walked on Irish soil.
Until our Deirdre came along.
She’s our heroine.

No sorrow here though.
Just a zeal for life that most long for.

She stole my heart.
Now I'll mind hers.
